Glass, metal and plastic containers, newspapers or such other
materials as may be designated by resolution of the Board of Trustees
shall not be commingled for pickup with any other commercial or residential
garbage.
All owners, lessees or occupants of residential or commercial
properties shall source-separate the following recyclables for pickup,
collection and recycling: newspapers, glass, metal and plastic containers.
Glass, metal and plastic containers shall be placed in a special
twenty-gallon container distributed by the village for pickup.
Newspapers shall be compacted and securely bagged in a paper
bag or bundled and tied in packages not exceeding 50 pounds, with
a rope or cord sufficient in strength to facilitate handling for pickup.
The Board of Trustees, by resolution, shall determine when recyclables
are to be picked up and where the recyclables are to be placed for
pickup.
Any offense against any provision of this Article shall be punishable as provided in Chapter
1, General Provisions, Article
III, Penalties.
