warehouses, stores, industrial plants, institutions or places of assembly
or in open spaces where combustible materials are stored or handled, the Fire
Marshal is empowered and authorized to order the owner or occupant, in writing,

"No smoking" signs of approved size lettering and location shall read,
"By Order of the Fire Marshal."
It shall be unlawful for any person to remove any legally required "no
smoking" sign or to smoke in any place where such signs are posted.
Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this section shall
be fined not more than $25.
