A.
The advertisement for bids for materials, supplies or equipment required
by Section 94 of the Charter[1] and the advertisement for bids for work or improvement
required by Section 665 of the Charter shall be published in two (2)
of the three (3) daily newspapers in the City which are published
in the English language and have the largest circulation.

B.
The advertisement required by Section 94 of the Charter may also
be published, in the discretion of the Director of Purchase, in a
trade publication outside the City, and the advertisement required
by Section 665 of the Charter may also be published, in the discretion
of the head of the City agency having charge of the work, in an engineering
publication outside the City.
The notice required by Section 590 of the Charter, for the payment
of taxes and assessments, shall be published once; the notice required
by Section 673 of the Charter, for a public hearing on the adoption
of plans for main thoroughfares, shall be published once, but not
less than one (1) week before the hearing. The advertisement required
by Section 94 of the Charter,[1] for bids for materials, supplies or equipment,
shall be published once, but not less than a week before the time
fixed for the opening of bids; and the advertisement for bids required
by Section 665 of the Charter, for a work or improvement, shall be
published once, but not less than two (2) weeks prior to the date
fixed for the opening of bids.
