The Board of Trustees hereby finds that village-owned parks should be
free of pets and all other animals. This is necessary to prevent such parks
from being damaged or otherwise adversely affected and also to prevent persons
present in such parks from being subject to nuisances. Accordingly, the Board
of Trustees finds that the adoption of this chapter is in the best interest
of the public health and welfare.
No person shall, at any time, bring any dog, cat or other animal into
any village-owned park.
Each violation of this chapter shall constitute a separate offense and,
upon conviction, shall be subject to the following:
A. For a first offense under this chapter, a fine of not
less than $25 nor more than $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days,
or by both such fine and imprisonment.
B. For a second or subsequent offense under this chapter,
a fine of not less than $50 nor more than $250 or by imprisonment for not
more than 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
