Borough of Wanaque, NJ Article VI Municipal Tax Collector

§ 28-35 Creation of office.

Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 200 of the Laws of 1971, there is hereby created the office of Municipal Tax Collector.

§ 28-36 Office to be filled by election.

The office of Municipal Tax Collector shall be filled by election as provided by law.

§ 28-37 Term.

The term of the Municipal Tax Collector shall be four years from the first day of January next following his election.

§ 28-38 Duties.

The Municipal Tax Collector shall perform such duties as are assigned from time to time by the Mayor or Council.

§ 28-39 Compensation. [1]

The salary of the Municipal Tax Collector shall be as fixed by the annual Salary Ordinance of the Borough of Wanaque; additional fees to be approved by the Council.
