In areas designated under the Zoning Ordinance
as Multifamily Residence Districts, or in areas where nonconforming
multifamily residences exist, and in which there are interior streets,
roadways or driveways which, if obstructed by the parking of motor
vehicles, will cause or create a condition that is dangerous to life
or property in the event of a fire or will cause interference with
the ingress and egress of fire-fighting equipment, such interior streets,
roadways or driveways shall be designated as fire zones.
In any fire zones, the Fire Chief or Assistant
Fire Chief and the Police Chief are hereby empowered to designate
certain sections of fire zones as restricted areas, and such restricted
areas shall be marked with standard police signs and markings indicating
that said area is a restricted fire zone. Parking of motor vehicles
in said restricted areas is hereby prohibited. Said signs and markings
shall be installed at the expense of the owner of the property who
shall promptly pay to the Village Treasurer the actual cost thereof
as certified, in writing, to said Village Treasurer by the Fire Chief,
Assistant Fire Chief or Police Chief. Notwithstanding and not in limitation
of any other provision hereof, no motor vehicle shall be parked within
20 feet of any fire hydrant or standpipe located at, on or near any

under the Zoning Ordinance as a multiple residence district or in
areas where nonconforming multiple family residences exist.
