The purpose of this article is to permit the conduct of raffles
by authorized organizations in the Village of Irvington.
Unless the context otherwise requires, the meanings of terms
used in this article shall be as follows:
An authorized organization as defined in § 186
of the General Municipal Law.
A raffle as defined in § 186 of the General Municipal
Law.
An authorized organization may, upon obtaining a license from
the Village Clerk of the Village of Irvington, conduct a raffle within
the Village of Irvington as provided in Article 9-A of the General
Municipal Law. Such raffle shall be conducted in accordance with the
laws of the State of New York and with the rules and regulations adopted
by the New York State Racing and Wagering Board.
