There is hereby created and established a commission
to be known as the "Economic Development Commission of the Town of
Monroe." This Commission is established pursuant to Chapter IV, § 9
of the Charter of the Town of Monroe.
The purpose of the Economic Development Commission
is to:
A. Conduct research into the economic conditions and
trends in Monroe.
B. Make recommendations to appropriate officials and
agencies in Monroe regarding action to improve its economic condition
and development.
C. Coordinate the activities of and cooperate with unofficial
bodies organized to promote economic development.
D. Advertise, prepare, print and distribute books, maps,
charts, pamphlets and other materials which may carry out the official
purpose of the Commission.
All budgetary and personnel concerns as well
as the general administration of the Commission shall be as required
of other agencies, boards and commissions and in such a manner as
to conform to the requirements of the Town Charter.
