This work shall consist of the setting of guideposts in the locations required.
A. 
Guides shall be either cedar or treated pine. Treated posts shall be treated in conformance with the requirements of State Form 810, Article 10.01-3.
B. 
Posts shall be not less than six inches in diameter at the small end after removal of bark.
C. 
Posts shall have a minimum length of 6.5 feet, with a minimum of 3 1/2 feet buried. The tops shall be beveled 1 5/8 inches. Each post shall have a reflector approved by the Town Engineer.
A. 
Guideposts shall be set six feet on centers in holes dug in thoroughly compact soil. The bottom of the holes shall be thoroughly rammed so that the posts will have a stable foundation.
B. 
Posts shall be set with the front faces two feet from the street line, with the tops forming a smooth line. The reflectors shall face the direction of traffic so as to line up with a point in the middle of the roadway 400 feet back from the post.
