The districts are bounded and defined as shown on a map entitled "Zoning Map, Borough of North Haledon, Passaic County, New Jersey," dated January 2001, by Michael F. Kauker Associates, Professional Planner, Wyckoff, New Jersey, which, with all explanatory matter thereon, accompanies and is hereby made part of this chapter.[1]

A. 
Boundaries of districts. The boundaries, areas and classification of each district are hereby established as shown on the Zoning Map; however, the use of this map shall be confined to zoning purposes only, and no roads, streets or rights-of-way thereon shown shall be considered public streets, roads or rights-of-way unless the same are regularly dedicated and accepted in accordance with any ordinance or statute in such case made and provided. Depths of all zones are indicated by scale or figures on the Zoning Map.
B. 
Determination of boundaries.
(1) 
The zone boundary lines are intended generally to follow street lines, existing property lines and the mean high-water level of streams and ponds.
(2) 
Determination of doubtful lines, in cases of uncertainty or disagreement as to the true location of district boundary lines, shall lie with the Board of Adjustment as hereinafter provided.
(3) 
It shall be the function of the Board of Adjustment to determine the location of sidelines, rear lines and front lines when the same are in doubt.

(4) 
In case the boundary line of any district runs through any lot, the regulations and restrictions of the less restricted area shall apply to the portion of the lot in the more restricted area lying within 50 feet from such district boundary line, provided that the lot has frontage on the less restricted district, but such extension shall not be construed as changing the location of said boundary line.
