Resolution No. 76 of 1985 adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Rush,
and subsequently adopted by the affirmative vote of the majority of the qualified
electors of the Town at the biennial election conducted in November 1987,
is hereby amended, in part, to provide that the term of office of the Supervisor
of the Town of Rush elected at the next biennial election in November 1999
and thereafter shall be two years.
This article, pursuant to the terms of § 23 of the Municipal
Home Rule Law of the State of New York, shall be submitted for the approval
of the electors of the Town of Rush at the general election to be held November
3, 1998, and shall not become operative until and unless approved by the affirmative
vote of the majority of the electors of the Town of Rush voting on Local Law
No. 3-1998.
