Effective June 5, 1997, the fees for the following permits shall be based on the cost of the job and each $1,000 of cost or fraction thereof. Cost is determined by the fair market value of a project.

Certificates of occupancy.

Nonresidential: $200 for the first 3,000 square feet of gross floor area, plus $10 per every 5,000 square feet or increment thereafter. Cost includes inspection fees for Fire Marshal/Code Officer's inspection of all areas regulated by Chapter 156, Fire Prevention.

Provisional use and occupancy certification: $125 for two inspections and the processing of a clear certificate of occupancy.

Other fees.

Storage sheds under 500 square feet: $40.

Construction dumpsters and trailers: $40 per dumpster.
(11)
Carnival/fairground/tents and amusement rides: $40 per day of public use or activity.

Blasting permits: $40 per occurrence.
(13)
Fireworks: $100 per occurrence.

Health licenses and inspections.
(2)
Commercial retail stores, pharmacy, convenience store, deli, etc., over 10,000 square feet: $350 flat rate fee.

Residential swimming pool health inspection: $30 per pool, per season.
(5)
Commercial swimming pool health inspection: $125 per pool, per season; does not include food health license.

Nonrental public building safety inspection: $200 for the first 3,000 square feet of gross floor area, plus $10 per every 5,000 square feet or increment thereafter. Cost includes inspection fees for Fire Marshal/Code Officer's inspection of all areas regulated by Chapter 156, Fire Prevention.
H.
Extra copies of inspection field reports, etc. Copies of field reports are available from the Code Enforcement Department, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at a nominal cost of $10 each.
I.
Copies of Borough ordinances. Copies of any and all Borough ordinances or publications are available from the Code Enforcement Department, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at a nominal cost of $0.25 per page, single-sided, and $0.50 per page, double-sided. See also Article II of this chapter.

Abandoned vehicle permits: $50 each permit.
L.
Residential rental license. $80 yearly license fee.
M.
Rental housing license yearly license fee: $56 per each tenant or rental unit. Cost includes inspection fees for Fire Marshal/Code Officer's inspection of all areas regulated by Chapter 156, Fire Prevention. Two hundred dollars for the first 3,000 square feet of a residential/commercial storefront property, as described in Chapter 235 of the Code; plus $10 per every 5,000 square feet or increment thereafter. The cost covers two dwelling units and includes inspection fees for the Fire Marshal/Code Officer's inspection of all areas regulated by Chapter 156, Fire Prevention. Each additional dwelling unit shall be $56 each.
N.
Commercial rental license: $200 for the first 3,000 square feet of gross floor area, plus $10 per every 5,000 square feet or increment thereafter, for each rental unit. Cost includes inspection fees for Fire Marshal/Code Officer's inspection of all areas regulated by Chapter 156, Fire Prevention. Exception: $75 for the first 500 square feet of self-service storage facility, plus $25 per every 500 square feet or increment thereafter, for each rental unit.
O.
All inspection fees cover the cost for two inspections for each application or renewal. All additional inspections shall cost $40 each.
P.
If at any time during the calendar license year there is a change in, or the change of identity of the tenant, lessee or occupant of the rental unit, the registration and license shall become invalid and must be renewed. The applicant shall be charged half the amount due for a yearly license fee as covered by Subsections L, M and N of this section.
