The County of York will implement a dedicated library tax effective January 1, 2018, at the rate of 0.09 mills.
The library tax will be reviewed and reset annually in conjunction with the development of the annual York County General Fund budget.

Library tax revenue generated and collected by the County will be disbursed to the York County Library System on a monthly basis as follows:
A. 
A remittance equal to 1/12 of the estimated dedicated library tax revenue will be made no later than the 30th of each month to the York County Library System.
B. 
A final reconciliation of the library tax revenue will be prepared no later than January 31 of each year to ensure that 0.09 of a mill of all real property tax revenue remitted to the County of York during the preceding year is transferred to the library system pursuant to § 107-25A of this article.
