It is the policy of the York County Board of Commissioners to aggressively initiate those activities which promote an awareness of the safety philosophy for its employees. Such philosophy includes the moral, legal and economic interests as they affect York County employees in protecting county employees from hazards.
The York County Board of Commissioners recognizes the need for providing a safe working environment for its employees and further recognizes its overall responsibility to initiate, monitor and review the effectiveness of an ongoing loss prevention program.
It is the responsibility of all York County elected officials, directors, department heads, supervisors and employees to conduct their work in such a manner as to ensure compliance with this policy and with all applicable federal, state and local safety regulations.
