It shall be the duty of this Advisory Board
to:
A. Define and recommend to the Parks Director and/or
the York County Commissioners procedures, ideas and promotional and
expansion plans for the county parks and recreation systems.
B. Receive the suggestions and criticisms of York County
taxpayers and other users of the York County Parks and Recreation
system and transmit the same to the Parks Director and/or York County
Board of Commissioners.
C. Review and recommend revision of policies of the York
County Department of Parks and Recreation.
D. Provide opportunities for interested persons to submit
suggestions, recommendations or grievances concerning the parks programs,
personnel and policies and to transmit such information to the Parks
Director and/or the York County Board of Commissioners.
Each member shall make every effort to attend
each meeting and to offer any special knowledge that he or she may
have concerning the situations under discussion, or of any other business
of the Department. In no case shall a member vote on any matter involving
himself or herself or any family member or person with whom the member
has a special relationship or involving any business relationship
where the member has the opportunity to benefit, directly or indirectly.
