A. 
All electrical work or repairs of any kind shall be performed by or under the direct supervision of an electrician duly licensed by the Town of North Hempstead. The electrician having such supervision of the work to be done shall be directly and personally responsible for compliance with this Article, even though he does not personally perform the work.
B. 
No certificate of occupancy or certificate of compliance involving electrical work shall be issued unless a duly authorized certificate from the New York State Board of Underwriters shall be exhibited and a xerox copy delivered to the Building Inspector.

No electrical work of any kind shall be performed unless a written application, describing the proposed work in detail, has been submitted to the Building Inspector and/or the Village Clerk, unless the required fee has been paid, unless the provisions of this chapter have otherwise been complied with and unless a permit therefor shall have been issued by the Building Inspector. The application shall be in the form prescribed by the Village Board.
