This chapter shall be known as the "Jerusalem Games of Chance Local Law."

Editor's Note: This local law was approved at referendum on 3-25-2000.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
An authorized charitable organization as defined in § 186 of the General Municipal Law.
A game of chance as defined in § 186 of the General Municipal Law, such as, but not limited to, raffles, bell jar games and casino nights.
The Town of Jerusalem, Yates County, New York.
Authorized organizations may, upon obtaining a license from the Clerk of the Town of Jerusalem, conduct games of chance within the Town of Jerusalem as provided in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law. Such games of chance shall be conducted in accordance with the General Municipal Law, with the rules and regulations of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board and with this chapter.
Games of chance on the first day of the week, commonly known as "Sunday," may be conducted pursuant to this chapter and appropriate statutes and regulations.
