No craft, while on Lake Quannapowitt, shall
be used for dwelling purposes, either temporarily or on a permanent
basis.

All power-driven craft must keep at least one
hundred fifty (150) feet distance from other boats, rafts, floats
or the shore, except when prevented by a narrow channel or when approaching
or leaving other boats, rafts, floats or the shore. In such latter
exceptions, the speed of all boats shall be reduced to headway speed
so as to provide full visibility and control and prevent their wash
from being thrown into or causing excessive rocking to other boats,
rafts or floats. All marine vessels and power-driven crafts with a
horsepower greater than ten (10) horsepower or having an electric
motor of equivalent or greater power are prohibited from use on Lake
Quannapowitt, with the exception of police or rescue craft as may
be authorized by the Town Council.
The following mooring areas are hereby established
in Lake Quannapowitt:
A. Beginning at a point at the intersection of the northerly
side of Linda Road with the westerly shoreline of Lake Quannapowitt,
the line runs northeasterly along the extension of said side line
of Linda Road a distance of two hundred (200) feet to a point in the
lake, thence southeasterly a distance of approximately one thousand
two hundred thirty-six (1,236) feet to a point of land known as "Cemetery
Point" on the westerly shore of said lake; thence northwesterly, northerly
and northeasterly along the westerly shoreline to a point of beginning;
said area containing approximately nine and five-tenths (9.5) acres.
B. Beginning at a point on the westerly shoreline of
Lake Quannapowitt, said point being one hundred fifty (150) feet southeasterly
of the present boat ramp, thence the line runs northeasterly a distance
of approximately nine hundred eighty (980) feet to a point on the
easterly shoreline of said lake, said point being approximately one
hundred thirty (130) feet northerly of the northerly side line of
Spaulding Street, thence southerly, southwesterly, westerly and northwesterly
along the shoreline of said lake to the point of beginning; said area
containing approximately seven (7.0) acres.

No aircraft shall land or take off from the
lake, except in the case of an emergency or with the prior written
approval of the Town Council of the Town of Wakefield and the approval
of state and federal authorities where applicable.
All high-powered craft are prohibited from Lake
Quannapowitt, including but not limited to the following:
A. Inboard racing-type hydroplanes.
B. Inboard drag-type boats, so-called.
C. Inboard flat-bottom Hondo model-type boats.
Motor vehicles, as defined by MGL c. 90, § 1,
are prohibited from entry or operation upon Lake Quannapowitt. This
section shall not prohibit the entry and operation upon Lake Quannapowitt
of ambulances, fire apparatus, fire rescue vehicles or other motor
vehicles owned or operated by the Town of Wakefield, the Commonwealth
of Massachusetts or any of their subdivisions.
