This chapter shall be known as the "Firearms Local Law of the Village
of Caledonia."
No person shall, except in self defense and when reasonably necessary
for the protection of life or property, fire or discharge or cause to be fired
or discharged any projectile firing ammunition from any machine gun, rifle,
shotgun or firearm, as defined in § 265.00 of the New York State
Penal Law, within the boundaries of the Village of Caledonia, or fire or cause
to be fired any device regulated under the provisions of § 11-0931
of the Environmental Conservation Law.
The violation of this chapter shall constitute and be punishable as
a violation pursuant to the New York State Penal Law and shall be punishable
by a fine not exceeding $250 or fifteen days' imprisonment, or both.
