The Borough shall be authorized to enter into
intergovernmental cooperation agreements with its neighboring municipalities
for the purpose of mutual aid and assistance for volunteer firefighter
protection.

Such agreements will be in a format consistent
with the provisions of 53 Pa.C.S.A. § 2307 and shall be
prepared by the Borough Solicitor.
The term of such agreement will be from its
inception until terminated by either municipality giving to the other
90 days' written notice of intent to terminate.
The basic conditions of the agreement shall
be that each municipality shall, if physically capable of doing so,
answer the requests of the other for necessary men and/or equipment
to mutually aid or assist the volunteer fire company of the other
when needed; each municipality's firefighters shall be deemed to be
acting in the performance of their duties when so providing assistance.
