The Town Council of the Borough of Baden shall
from time to time designate no-parking spaces, safety zones and one-way
traffic streets, and the kind of weight of traffic on certain streets,
and shall designate stop places, parking spaces, parking zones by
lines on the street of said Borough or by proper signs thereon along
or upon said streets, and it shall be unlawful for anyone to park
or operate any vehicle in, on or over said spaces, signs, zones or
streets in violation of the signs or markings so placed.

It shall be unlawful in a residentially zoned area for any person
to park, or allow to remain parked, any vehicle other than a passenger
car, except for the purpose of loading and unloading, or providing
service to an adjacent property, during normal business hours. The
definition of "passenger car" shall not include any bus, motor home,
passenger car attached to a trailer of any kind, recreational boats
on or off trailers, recreational vehicle, commercial vehicle weighing
over 15,000 pounds, or any truck weighing over 15,000 pounds or with
more than two axles.
All traffic shall keep to the right of traffic
monuments, center lines and signs and shall not park or remain standing
within the white transverse lines intended for pedestrian traffic
or within safety zones.
Operators of vehicles and pedestrians shall
observe signals of police officers or the Mayor to proceed, turn or
stop and shall likewise observe all other directions of said officer.
At crossings where there are automatic signals,
both vehicular and pedestrian traffic shall stop on red lights and
shall proceed on green lights, except where a sign indicates where
a turn may be made on red.
Police officers may, with the approval of Council,
place in front of public buildings and in front of any private building,
any church or municipal building or movie theater a sign by Council,
Mayor or Police Committee of Council prohibiting parking or indicating
motorists may park at the curb, as the case may be, and may likewise
place signs as designated by Council or the proper committees thereof,
indicating parking spaces wherein parking shall be restricted to a
limited time.
It shall be unlawful for any person to knock
down, remove, break, mutilate, deface, destroy, intentionally obliterate
or in any way damage any parking or markings, sign, signboard or signpost
or any device regulating traffic placed on, upon, along, over or near
any street, lane, alley or public grounds within the limits of the
Borough of Baden for the purpose of defining, indicating, directing
or controlling traffic or warning of danger, in, upon or along any
of the streets, lanes, alleys or public grounds of said Borough.
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or
corporation or other agents to obstruct or interfere with the free
and full use of the highways, including the sidewalks, and anything
interfering may be removed as a nuisance by any police of the Borough;
provided, however, that these regulations shall not affect any person
holding a valid permit.

The maximum speed limit for vehicular traffic throughout the Borough of Baden is hereby established at 25 miles per hour unless designated otherwise in Schedule XX, §
180-51. Thus, it shall be unlawful for any person to operate a motor vehicle upon any of the streets of the Borough of Baden, except only those streets or portions of streets which are embraced within the system of state highways, in excess of the said maximum speed limit of 25 miles per hour or the posted speed limit for those roads listed in Schedule XX. The Borough authorities are empowered to purchase and erect official speed limit signs which shall conform to the requirements of the Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Code as to size, word content, manner and location of erection.
The parking or standing of motor vehicles or
trailers, of whatsoever nature, shall be prohibited within the alleys
of the Borough of Baden, and official "No Parking" signs shall be
erected along said alleys.
