When written notice of a violation of any provision of this chapter has been served by the appropriate authority to the owner, owner's agent, contractor or builder, such violation shall be discontinued or removed immediately.
Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this chapter shall, for each violation, upon conviction thereof, pay a penalty of not more than $500 for each offense, with costs recoverable before the Municipal Court of the City of Vineland or any court having jurisdiction, and upon default of payment of penalty and costs, the person or persons convicted may be committed to the county prison for a period not to exceed six months.
