Strict compliance with the requirements of these
rules and regulations may be waived when such action is in the public
interest and not inconsistent with the Subdivision Control Law.
Not more than one (1) building designed or available
for dwelling purposes shall be erected or placed or converted to use
as such on any lot in a subdivision or elsewhere within the Town without
the consent of the Planning Board, which shall be granted only for
structures in compliance with zoning restrictions and only upon the
Board's finding that adequate ways and utilities serving such site
for such buildings have been provided in the same manner as otherwise
required for the lots within a subdivision.
For matters not covered by these rules and regulations,
reference is made to M.G.L.A., Ch. 41, §§ 81K to 81GG,
inclusive.
Each section of these rules and regulations
shall be construed as separate to the end that if any section, sentence,
clause or phrase shall be held invalid for any reason, the remainder
of the rules and regulations shall continue in full force.

All work related to water, sewer and fire services
within subdivisions must conform to the Ashland Department of Public
Works - Water and Sewer Division, Board of Health and the Fire Department
rules and regulations. Said regulations are available from the respective
offices.
