It shall be unlawful for any person under 17 years of age to be or remain in or upon any public street, avenue, sidewalk, alley, lane or public place in the Village of Athens after the hour of 11:00 p.m. in the evening unless such person is accompanied by his parent, guardian or other person having the legal custody of such minor person, or unless the employment of such minor person makes it necessary to be upon such street, avenue, sidewalk, alley, lane or in such public place during the nighttime after such specified hour.[1]

Original §§ 29 and 30 of the 1942 ordinance, which followed § 23-2 and which prescribed the duties of police officers and magistrates, were repealed 10-12-1976 by L.L. No. 15-1976.
