A. 
Wherever a particular parking space shall be lined or marked off on any street or alley or upon the adjacent curb, every vehicle parked shall be parked in the lines marking such parking space. All vehicles parked on streets or alleys, whether parking spaces are marked or not, shall be parked only in the direction of the permitted traffic flow. Parking more than 12 inches from the curb, parking on the sidewalk, and double parking is prohibited.
B. 
Parking shall be prohibited at all times by any vehicle which in any way will block the intersection of any street or alley or the entrance or exit of any street or alley. Parking shall at all times be prohibited within the painted line area adjacent to any fire hydrant; within fifteen feet of a fire hydrant if there is no painted line designating the hydrant area; within the painted line area marking the permissible distance to park from any intersection; within 30 feet of a stop sign if there is no painted lines marking the intersection; in any area where erected signs or painted lines indicate a "No Parking" area; and in any manner so as to block any private or public driveway or accessway.

Loading and unloading of goods, wares and merchandise is hereby restricted to such length of time as is absolutely necessary for the purpose of loading or unloading of such goods, wares and merchandise. For the purpose of enforcement of this section, such loading or unloading of any vehicle shall not be considered as parking, without having first obtained permission from the Upper Southampton Township Chief of Police, or his designated representative, to do so, no person shall load or unload a vehicle from any place where parking is prohibited or shall allow a vehicle to remain, for loading or unloading, in any place upon any street or alley where parking is limited as to time, for longer than the time for which parking is permitted and provided, that in no event shall traffic be restricted during the loading and unloading.

The Police Department shall have the authority to prohibit parking for a period of time deemed necessary by the Chief of Police or his designated representative and in such areas of the Township as the Police Chief feels said prohibition is necessary to permit street sweeping, allow road construction, or to prevent a hazard to the health and safety of the public which might result from a public gathering or other festive holiday. The Police Department shall erect temporary signs designating the areas or temporary prohibition, and it shall be unlawful for any person to stop, stand or park a vehicle in any such area.

It shall be unlawful for a person to park or allow to remain parked along any street in the Township any vehicle held for storage, for sale, or for repairs. It shall be unlawful for any owner of any type of motor vehicle without a current registration plate or without a current inspection sticker to park or store or permit the same to be parked or stored on any public street or public alley. It shall be unlawful for the owner of any dismantled or inoperable vehicle to park the vehicle or allow the vehicle to be parked upon any public street.

A. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to park a trailer or a motor vehicle with a trailer upon any street or highway in the Township with the exception of vehicles with trailers that are parked temporarily for a period of eight hours or less and used for trade work. A "trailer" is defined as a licensed vehicle without power, designed to carry property and to be drawn by a motor vehicle.
B. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to park a motor home or recreational vehicle upon any street or highway in the Township. A "recreational vehicle" is defined as a motor vehicle or portable structure, self-propelled or drawn by a motor vehicle, designed or constructed to provide temporary living quarters for recreational, camping or travel use or to carry such equipment or designed or constructed to provide other recreational activities. This definition shall include, but is not limited to boats, boat trailers, motor homes, travel trailers, campers, all-terrain vehicles and snowmobiles.
C. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to park upon any street or highway in the Township any motor vehicle whose registered permitted gross vehicle weight exceeds 10,000 pounds.

A. 
It shall be unlawful for any vehicle without an official state disability license, state, combat wounded veterans license, or state disabled veterans license to park in any area reserved or designated for disability parking.
B. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to stand or park a vehicle within 30 feet upon the approach to a sign warning of the possible presence of a person with a disability in the vicinity of a roadway adjacent to the person's residence or the possible presence of a person with a disability frequently traversing the roadway at said location. Any person violating any provision of § 174-31B is guilty of a summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $50.

For purposes of enforcing and interpreting this article, the word "parking" shall include and be treated as synonymous with the word "stopping" and "standing."

A. 
Any person who violates §§ 174-24, 174-25, 174-26, 174-27, 174-29, 174-30, and/or 174-31 shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $100, plus the costs of prosecution, provided that the police officer or other person making the report shall also attach to or place upon every vehicle in violation of the provisions of this article a notice stating that the vehicle was parked in violation of this article. The notice shall contain instructions to the owner or driver of the vehicle that if he/she reports to the office of the Chief of Police and pay the sum of $100 within five working days after the time of the notice, that act will save the violator from prosecution and from payment of fines and costs prescribed in the first sentence of this section. If the Police Department has not received the $100 within five working days, a citation shall be filed at District Court. Each two-hour period that a violation continues shall be considered a separate violation punishable by further fines.
B. 
Any person who violates any provision of § 174-28 shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $300, plus the costs of prosecution, provided that the police officer or other person making the report shall also attach to or place upon every vehicle in violation of the provisions of this article a notice stating that the vehicle was parked in violation of this article. The notice shall contain instructions to the owner or driver of the vehicle that if he/she will report to the office of the Chief of Police and pay the sum of $300 within five working days after the time of the notice, that act will save the violator from prosecution and from payment of fines and costs prescribed in the first sentence of this section. If the Police Department has not received the $300 within five working days, a citation shall be filed at District Court. Each two-hour period that a violation continues shall be considered a separate violation punishable by further fines.
C. 
Towing. Motor vehicles parked in violation of §§ 174-24 through 174-31 may be towed in the event that said motor vehicle interferes and/or hinders any operations of the Township, including, but not limited to, EMS, fire, and/or police operations. In such event, the owner of the vehicle shall be responsible for any and all of the costs and expenses whatsoever associated with the towing and shall be subject to the fines set forth in § 174-33A and B above.
