The Township of Adams is experiencing growth which it is anticipated will continue at an increased rate. The Township has enacted a Zoning Ordinance, a Subdivision Ordinance and may in the future adopt building ordinances and codes, stormwater management ordinances and other ordinances with respect to land use and development. The Township, therefore, finds it desirable to create a position of Code Enforcement Officer.
There is hereby created the position of Code Enforcement Officer, who shall be appointed by the Township Supervisors to serve at the discretion of the Township Supervisors.
The Code Enforcement Officer shall be the building official and Code Enforcement Officer of the Township, whose duties shall be to see to the enforcement of all code provisions relating to zoning and land development, buildings and structures, their construction and use, and to inspect all buildings or structures being erected or altered as frequently as may be necessary to ensure compliance with Township Codes.
