Amendments to this chapter shall become effective only after a public hearing held pursuant to public notice as defined herein and in accordance with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code of 1968, Act 247, as amended Act 93, 1972, Article
V, Section 505.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent
herewith are hereby repealed. Nothing in this chapter hereby adopted
shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding now pending in
any court, or any rights accrued, or liability incurred, or any cause
or causes of action accrued any right or remedy of any character be
lost, impaired or affected by this chapter.
In any case where a provision of this chapter
is found to conflict with the provision of a zoning, building, fire,
safety or health ordinance or code of this Township or law, rule or
regulation of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the provision which
established the higher standard for the promotion and protection of
the health and safety of the people shall prevail. In any case where
a provision of this chapter is found to be in conflict with the provisions
of another ordinance or code of this municipality or law, rule or
reregulation of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania which established
a lower standard for the promotion and protection of the health and
safety of the people, the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed
to prevail, and such other ordinances or codes are hereby declared
to be repealed to the extent that they may be found in conflict with
this chapter.
