All parks and public playgrounds not equipped with lights and appropriately designated by signs posted thereon shall be closed to the public for all purposes one hour after sundown on each day. No parking of privately owned vehicles shall be permitted in any park or recreational facility when it is closed.

No person shall consume any alcoholic beverage or have in his possession any intoxicating beverage while in a municipal park or playground as set forth in this article, except if such person is attending an authorized public event which has been issued a valid liquor license authorizing the sale of alcoholic beverages in a municipal park or playground.

No person shall exhibit or engage in unruly behavior while in a municipal park or playground.

No person shall stop or stand a vehicle upon any of the areas within the Marlboro Township Parks System, except in the areas prescribed and marked for such stopping or standing, and for the time periods provided therein.

No person shall utilize the recreation facilities at the Marlboro Township Parks System for anything except what the facility was intended for and as posted by the Department of Recreation (example: "Tennis Only").
A. 
The Department of Recreation shall, for purposes of public health, safety and welfare during special events, cause signs to be clearly posted indicating those public areas and events where pets shall not be permitted. Such signs shall read "No Pets Permitted" or language substantially similar. During such events, in duly designated and posted areas, domestic pets shall be prohibited. Any person in possession of a domestic pet shall not be permitted to enter parks or other areas so designated during special events. For the purposes of this section, "special events" shall be those events coordinated for the purpose of exhibitions, theatrical productions, athletic competitions, musical presentations or other entertainment or educational events meant for public admission and enjoyment.
B. 
The Department of Recreation shall, for purposes of public health, safety and welfare during special events, cause signs to be clearly posted indicating those public areas and events where smoking shall not be permitted. Such signs shall read "No Smoking Permitted" or language substantially similar. During such events, in duly designated and posted areas, smoking shall be prohibited. Any person in possession of a lit substance, including, but not limited to, a cigarette, cigar or pipe, shall not be permitted to enter parks or other areas so designated during special events. For purposes of this section, "special events" shall be defined as stated in Subsection A of this section.
C. 
The Township Police Department shall be responsible for the enforcement of these provisions. Any person violating this section shall be subject to penalties as set forth in § 265-14 per violation.
D. 
Notwithstanding anything contained to the contrary herein, this section shall not apply to pets used for the purposes of assisting persons with disabilities, e.g., service dogs, Seeing Eye dogs or hearing ear dogs.

Permits shall be required on all Township facilities for reservation purposes and shall be issued according to policies and procedures established by the Department of Recreation.
