The Town Board of the Town of Stanford finds
that the consumption of beer and other alcoholic beverages on property
owned by the Town of Stanford is prohibited during all times because
it is detrimental to the health, safety and welfare of its residents
and creates a nuisance.

A. No person shall have in his/her possession any open
bottle or container containing liquor, beer, wine or any other alcoholic
beverage while such person is on property owned by the Town of Stanford
during all times.
B. No person shall have in his/her possession any glass
container while such person is on property owned by the Town of Stanford
during all times.
Any open bottle or open container in any vehicle
shall be presumptive evidence that the same is in the possession of
the occupants thereof and in violation hereof.
The foregoing restrictions shall not apply in
the event of a fair, picnic or other community gathering for which
special permission has been granted by the Town Board and for which
a special license has been issued by the Alcoholic Beverage Control
Board, if required by law.

An offense against the provisions of this chapter
shall constitute a violation punishable by a fine not exceeding $250
and/or not more than 15 days' imprisonment for the first offense and
by a fine of not less than $50 nor more than $250 and or not more
than 15 days' imprisonment for the second or subsequent offense.
