The use of parks, lakes and immediately adjacent
areas under the control of the Stanford Town Board and Recreation
Commission shall be deemed a privilege and shall be available solely
and exclusively to the residents of the Town of Stanford and their
guests. Residents of the Town of Stanford shall be required to exhibit
identification as may be required by the Stanford Town Board and Recreation
Commission, and no nonresident guests may enter the facilities or
areas of the Stanford Town Board and Recreation Commission unless
accompanied by an adult resident of the Town of Stanford bearing proper
identification.
No person shall injure, deface, disturb, befoul
nor in any manner destroy or cause to be destroyed any part of any
park or any facility, building, sign, structure, equipment, utility
or other property found therein. No person shall dig for, remove,
injure or destroy any tree, flower, shrub, plant or growing thing
or any rock, mineral, artifact or other material within the boundaries
of any park. No person shall kill, trap, hunt, pursue or in any manner
disturb or cause to be disturbed any wild bird or animal within the
boundaries of any park.
No person shall deposit or abandon in any park,
driveway or parking lot, or in the waters of any such park or adjacent
to any such park, any garbage, sewage, refuse, trash, waste or other
obnoxious material, except in receptacles provided for such purposes.
Any person shall be guilty of violating park
rules and regulations for the following:
A. Disobeying an order of a police officer, playground
director or other person designated by the Town Board to give orders,
or disobeying the notices, prohibitions, instructions or directions
on any recreation area sign.
B. Using threatening, abusive or insulting language.
C. Doing any obscene or indecent act.
D. Throwing stones or other missiles.
E. Soliciting alms, subscriptions or contributions for
any purposes.
G. Interfering with, encumbering, obstructing or rendering
dangerous any drive, path, walk, dock, beach, boardwalk or public
area.
H. Climbing or lying upon any wall, fence, shelter, seat,
statue, monument, boardwalk or other structure.
I. Doing any act tending to or amounting to a breach
of the peace.
J. Entering or leaving any restricted recreation area
except at established entranceways or exits or at established times.
K. Engaging in, instigating, aiding or encouraging a
contention or fight.
M. Doing, aiding, abetting or assisting in doing any
act injurious to any person, animal or property within any recreation
area or on any recreation area street not specifically prohibited
herein.
N. Acting as crier or advertiser, through the media of
voice, public-address system or other mechanical device, on beaches
or boardwalks or in the vicinity of same.
O. Dressing or undressing in autos, trucks, buses or
other conveyances or anywhere within the recreational park except
in such places as may be designated or maintained by the recreation
area for such purpose.
Motor vehicles and bicycles will be driven only
on designated recreational area roads and parked only in designated
parking areas.
No person shall operate or have in his possession
within the boundaries of any recreational area any off-the-road motor-driven
vehicle, including, by way of example but not by way of limitation,
any minibike, motorcycle, dune mobile, snowmobile, converted snowmobile,
all-terrain vehicle, amphibious vehicle or similar motorized device.

Any person committing an offense against the
provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a violation under the
Penal Law and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by a fine
of not more than $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days,
or both.
