The Town Board shall provide in the budget of the Town for each
year the per-diem rate at which members of the Planning Board and
Zoning Board of Appeals are compensated during the following fiscal
year. Planning Board and Zoning Board members shall be compensated
only upon their attendance at meetings of their respective boards.
The secretaries for the Planning Board and the Zoning Board
of Appeals shall keep for each meeting of the Boards a written record
of the Board members who attended the meetings. This record shall
be submitted to the Town Clerk on a monthly basis. Board members shall
be paid on a quarterly basis.
This article is intended to supersede § 27(1) of the
Town Law.
This article shall take effect January 1, 2002, and shall apply
to compensation received by members of the Planning Board and Zoning
Board of Appeals as of January 1, 2002.
