Town of Wawayanda, NY Chapter 68 Checks, Returned

§ 68-1 Fee.

All Town department heads in charge of collecting fees shall impose a charge of $15 on any check issued to the municipality which was subsequently returned for insufficient funds.

§ 68-2 Form of subsequent payments.

All Town department heads in charge of collecting fees may require that future payments to the municipality that are made by a payor who has, in the past, had a check returned for insufficient funds be tendered in the form of cash or certified check.
