There has been known to have been a dog or dogs
supposed to be rabid running at large through the Town and known to
have attacked and bitten a large number of dogs, etc.
Therefore, in the interest of the public safety,
we, the duly constituted Board of Health of the Town of Wawayanda,
do hereby order and direct all owners of dogs or other animals that
have been attacked or bitten by such dog or dogs that they, the owner
of the above-mentioned dogs or animals, shall kill or cause to be
killed forthwith or effectually muzzled or restrained for a period
of at least three months all of the above-mentioned dogs or animals.
Any failure to comply with the above order by
the above said parties will incur the full penalty of the law.
