It shall be unlawful for persons to assemble in any street or on any
sidewalk, crosswalk, alley or street in the village or to suffer or to cause
such assemblage or to take part in, conduct, suffer or cause any parade or
demonstration in any village street, highway, sidewalk, alley or street corner
except as herein provided.
The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to:
A. Processions or parades when all persons taking part therein
are police officers, fire fighters, members of the Armed Forces of the United
States or the State New York or officials of governmental units.
B. Processions, parades or assemblies declared by resolution
of the Board of Trustees to be a part of official village ceremonies.
C. Students going to and from school classes or participating
in school activities, provided that such conduct is under the immediate direction
and supervision of the proper school authorities.
Every person participating in any assembly, procession or parade or using the streets or sidewalks for public assemblage without a permit or any person participating in any parade, procession or public assemblage who shall fail to comply with the conditions and restrictions contained in the permit or shall conduct or permit the same to be conducted in a disorderly manner shall be guilty of a violation punishable as provided in Chapter
1, §§
1-18 and
1-19 of this Code.
