No person shall open or interfere with the fire
hydrants or draw water therefrom without permission from the Board
of Trustees, the Chief of the Fire Department or his or her duly authorized
representatives.
Every person who shall willfully do any injury
to any fire hydrant shall, in addition to being liable to respond
for the actual damages sustained, be liable to the penalty provided
for the violation of this chapter.
When the supply of water to any premises is
turned off by the direction of the village, whoever shall turn it
on without permission of said village shall be liable to the penalty
provided for the violation of this chapter.
