It shall be unlawful for any person under the age of 18 years to use within the limits of the Township of Lancaster any air pistol or air rifle, commonly known as a "BB gun," slingshot, bow and arrow, rifle, firearm or any similar device which propels an object by force within the township limits, except as hereinafter provided.
It shall be unlawful for a parent or guardian to authorize or permit the use of any of the above-mentioned devices in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter.
It shall be lawful for any person, if under the age of 14 years, to use any of the above-mentioned devices when accompanied by a parent or guardian, or some other member of his family 21 years of age or older, or, if between the ages of 14 and 18 years, when accompanied by an adult at least 21 years of age or except as allowed or permitted under the Game Law of Pennsylvania.[1]

Any peace officer is hereby authorized to seize, remove and destroy any device, the use of which is prohibited by this chapter, which shall be used within the limits of the Township of Lancaster contrary to the provisions of this chapter.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof before any District Justice, be subject to a fine not less than $10 nor more than $50, or, in default of payment of the fine and costs, shall undergo imprisonment in the Lancaster County Prison for a period of not more than 30 days.
