[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Marcus Hook 8-4-1941 by Ord. No. 411, approved 8-4-1941. Amendments noted where applicable.]

Police services — See Ch. 37.
A Civil Service Commission is hereby created in the Borough to consist of three Commissioners, who shall have all of the rights, powers and authorities given to or imposed upon such a Commission by the Act of General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania approved the fifth day of June 1941.[1]

Editor's Note: The Act referred to, which provided for police civil service, was included in 53 P.S. § 53251 et seq. Its provisions were repealed as to Boroughs by Act 1947, July 10, P.L. 1621, § 95. Pertinent provisions are now included in 53 P.S. § 46171 et seq, which provides for civil service for police and firemen.
The following duly qualified electors of the Borough are hereby appointed as members of the said Commission, to serve for the terms designated:
A. 
William J. Haebel, Jr., of the Fourth Ward of the said Borough, to serve for the term of two years.
B. 
Albert L. Amis of the Third Ward of the said Borough, to serve for the term of four years.
C. 
Emory L. Harris of the Fourth Ward of the said Borough, to serve for the term of six years.
