A. 
Except where necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or to protect the safety of any person or vehicle or in compliance with law or the directions of a police officer or official traffic control devices, no person shall:
(1) 
Stop, stand or park a vehicle:
(a) 
On the roadway side of any vehicle stopped or parked at the edge of a street, except that a pedalcycle may be parked abreast of another pedalcycle or pedalcycles.
(b) 
On a sidewalk, except that a pedalcycle may be parked on a sidewalk so long as it does not impede the normal and reasonable movement of pedestrians or other traffic.
(c) 
Within the intersection.
(d) 
On a crosswalk.
(e) 
Between a safety zone and the adjacent curb within 30 feet of point on the curb immediately opposite the end of a safety zone unless a different length is indicated by official traffic control devices.
(f) 
Along or opposite any street excavation of obstruction when stopping, standing or parking would obstruct traffic.
(g) 
Upon any bridge or other elevated structure upon a highway or within a highway tunnel.
(h) 
On any railroad tracks presently used.
(i) 
At any place where official signs prohibit stopping, standing or parking.
(j) 
Sycamore Lane, both sides, beginning at the face of curb on King Street at the King Street and Sycamore Lane intersection on both the southwestern and southeastern sides of Sycamore Lane and heading in a southerly direction a distance of 85 feet.

(k) 
Sycamore Lane, both sides, beginning 85 feet south of the curb on King Street and heading in a southerly direction a distance of 1,120 feet between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday of each week, excepting the days between June 15 and August 15 of each year.

(l) 
Sycamore Lane, both sides, beginning at the face of curb on Old Orchard Road and Sycamore Lane intersection on both the southwestern and southeastern sides of Sycamore Lane and heading in a northerly direction a distance of 95 feet.

(2) 
Stand or park a vehicle:
(a) 
In front of a public or private driveway.
(b) 
Within 30 feet upon the approach of any flashing signal, stop sign, yield sign or traffic control signal located at the site of a roadway.
(c) 
Within 20 feet of the driveway entrance to any fire station or, when properly sign posted, on the side of a street opposite the entrance to any fire station within 75 feet of the entrance.
(d) 
Where the vehicle would prevent the free movement of traffic.
(e) 
Within 15 feet of a fire hydrant.
(f) 
Within 20 feet of an intersection.
(3) 
Park a vehicle within 50 feet of the nearest rail of a rail crossing presently in use.
B. 
Every vehicle standing or parked upon a two-way highway shall be positioned parallel to and with the right-hand wheels within 12 inches of the right-hand curb or in the absence of a curb, as close as practicable to the right edge of the right-hand shoulder, except as provided in § 233-19.
C. 
Every vehicle standing or parked upon a one-way highway shall be positioned parallel to the curb or edge of the highway in the direction of authorized traffic movement with its right-hand wheels within 12 inches of the right-hand curb or, in the absence of a curb, as close as practicable to the right edge of the right-hand shoulder, or with its left-hand wheel within 12 inches to the left-hand curb or, in the absence of a curb, as close as practicable to the left edge of the left-hand shoulder.
D. 
Parking of oversized vehicles prohibited.

(1) 
No person shall park a vehicle, except as provided in Subsection D(2) hereof, at any time upon any of the public streets, alleys or public rights-of-way within the Borough of Milton, that exceeds any one of the following dimensions: length, 20 feet; width, seven feet; height, eight feet.
(2) 
Exceptions. The following vehicles are exceptions to the above prohibition:
(a) 
Vehicles may be parked temporarily for the purpose of and while actually engaged in the loading or unloading of personal property and/or passengers for a time period not to exceed three hours.
(b) 
Passenger vehicles which are modified for handicapped accessibility, provided that they are placed in a properly-marked reserve parking area for handicapped persons or severely-disabled veterans.
(c) 
Moving vans while actively engaged in the loading or unloading of personal property in or out of a property.

E. 
Penalty. Any individual or entity determined to be in violation of the provisions of this Article IX by the Milton Borough Police Department or designated authority or agency shall be subject to the following penalties for each offense as follows:

(1) 
First violation: warning.
(2) 
Second violation: $15 fine.
(3) 
Third and each subsequent violation: $50 and/or imprisonment for a term not to exceed 30 days.
(4) 
Failure to remove a vehicle found to be in violation of this Article IX within 24 hours will be construed as an additional violation.
(5) 
Any vehicle left parked in violation of this Article IX for a period exceeding twenty-four (24) hours after the violation notice is applied may be towed, under the direction of the Milton Borough Police Department or designated agency or authority, to the place designated by the Chief of Police for impoundment, subject to redemption by the owner upon payment of the reasonable cost of towing and storage charge for each day or portion thereof which it remains in said designated place.
