It is the intent of this chapter to establish a uniform system of property/dwelling/building
address numbering within the Township of Raccoon in order that there be an
accurate address database in connection with the Township of Raccoon's participation
in the Beaver County enhanced 9-1-1 System; and establish a uniform system
of posting and display of address identification numbering in order that property/dwelling/building
addresses within the Township of Raccoon may be easily located in emergency
situations.
Within 90 days after notification by the Township of Raccoon, the owners
and/or occupants of each property/dwelling/building shall post the address
identification number assigned by the Township.
The identification numbers to be posted as provided in §
78-2 shall be on address signs initially supplied by the Township. The address signs shall be made of six inches by 12 inches aluminum plate with a white reflective Mylar background with four-inch "B" series black letters or numbers. The Township shall supply the original sign plate, free of charge, to all property owners. For any additional or replacement plates, the property owner shall be required to pay the current price thereof.
Any owner, owners or occupants who shall violate, fail, neglect or refuse to comply with any of the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to civil enforcement procedures as set forth in Chapter
1, General Provisions, Article
II; provided that each day's violation shall constitute a separate offense and notice to the offender shall not be necessary in order to constitute an offense.
