There shall be such temporary committees or
task forces of limited duration that the Mayor and the Common Council
may deem necessary and appropriate. Said temporary committees and
task forces shall be appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the
Common Council.
Temporary committees and task forces shall undertake
and perform studies and specialized work of a short-term nature and
report their findings back to the Mayor and Common Council. The nature
and duration of the tasks shall be set out by ordinance.
Temporary committees and task forces shall comply
with all applicable requirements of the Connecticut Freedom of Information
Act.
Temporary committees and task forces shall be
governed by Robert’s Rules of Order.
Temporary committees and task forces shall utilize
such City employees as staff as may be designated in the ordinance
creating such committee or task force.
