Disorderly conduct — See Ch. 181.
The possession of an open container containing alcoholic beverage or the consumption of an alcoholic beverage by any pedestrian on any public way or other real estate which the Borough of Derry either owns or has the right to possession is hereby prohibited except as hereinafter set forth.
The activities otherwise prohibited herein are allowable for festivals, wedding receptions, family reunions and other similar occasions, provided that a permit is obtained from the Borough Secretary specifying the location, the date and the hours of duration for the occasion.
All requests for permits shall be submitted at least 72 hours prior to the commencement of the occasion and shall be accompanied by a nonrefundable fee of $5.
Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, for each and every violation, be fined not more than $1,000 plus the costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, by imprisonment for not more than 30 days.
