No person shall park a vehicle between the hours of
2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on any day, except on Saturdays, Sundays and
public holidays, upon any street or any part of street, unless otherwise
provided for in this article.
Any person convicted of a violation of this article
shall be liable for a fine of $50. No appearance shall be required
for the payment of this fine, penalty and costs.
Exempt streets. Due to the lack of off-street parking
facilities, overnight parking shall be exempt from prohibition and
allowed on the following streets or parts of streets:
The premises is not possessed of an easement
that allows use of a neighboring property or driveway so that vehicles
can reach the rear of the premises in question where parking can occur.
Requests for exemptions. Any resident may apply to
the Little Falls Township Police Department for an exemption set forth
in this article. The Police Department may require such documentation
and information reasonably required to process each exemption request.
The Chief of Police or his designee shall consider each request on
a case-by-case basis and his decision shall be final.
Notwithstanding any of the exemptions to the overnight
parking prohibition, in the event the Township declares a state of
emergency or if there is a snow accumulation that requires plowing
and removal, all vehicles must be removed from every Township street
until the emergency is over or until the Township completes snowplowing
and removal.
