[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Quarryville 4-5-1976 by Ord. No. 191. Amendments noted where applicable.]
This chapter shall be known as the "Anti-Loitering Ordinance."
The Council of the Borough of Quarryville is cognizant of the problems caused by unregulated gathering of persons on the premises of places of business, particularly on parking lots, when said places of business are closed, with the resultant misconduct, noise of vehicles and dropping of refuse, and they enact this chapter to protect the peace, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the Borough.
It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to loiter, either on foot or in a vehicle, around and about the premises of a place of business, such as but not limited to gas stations and diners, when such place of business is not open for business.
Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall after conviction in a summary proceeding before a Magisterial District Judge, be fined not more than $300 or imprisoned for a term of not more than 90 days.
