The policy of attendance for the members of
Township boards and commissions which are appointed by the Board of
Commissioners shall be that all members of the boards and commissions
shall participate in the activities and functions of said commission
with respect to the following scheduled meeting guidelines:
A. If a member fails to attend a scheduled board or commission
meeting three months in a row, the Board of Commissioners shall require
a written statement by the member of their intentions; and
B. If a member fails to attend a scheduled board or commission meeting four months in a row, and in conjunction with the written statement required under Subsection
A, the Board shall ask for the member's resignation; and
C. If a member fails to attend at least 50% of the scheduled
board or commission meetings in a calendar year, the Board shall ask
for this member's resignation.
All members of the boards and commissions who
are scheduled for a term reappointment shall have their attendance
records presented to the Board of Commissioners, as well as a letter
of intent by the commission member seeking another term.
