Under the following conditions, an employee who is
absent because of illness shall, upon returning to work, be required
to present a Doctor's Certificate which indicates that the employee
was unable to work because of illness:
A doctor's certificate does not automatically
mean that an illness will be excused. If the doctor's certificate
does not specify that the employee was unable to work due to illness,
or other information indicates that the employee was not absent for
a legitimate reason, the absence may be deemed unexcused. If the employee
is required to submit a doctor's certificate and fails to do
so, or submits an unsatisfactory one, the absence shall be considered
unexcused.
