Outside burning shall only be allowed during the daylight hours between sunrise and sunset.
All outside burning allowed by this chapter shall be made only in a covered, properly ventilated metal container, not to exceed a capacity of 55 gallons. Said container shall be so constructed as to prevent burning materials and ashes from escaping therefrom.
In burning of materials and other allowable matters, no fan or other object shall be employed which shall cause undue smoke to escape from said container.
No unusual burning, such as tree branches, accumulations of waste and like substances, which cannot be burned in the containers shall be allowed unless special permission is obtained from Borough Council or its designated agent or employee.
Any person who shall violate this chapter shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $1,000, and costs of prosecution, and, in default thereof, be sentenced to not less than five, nor more than 30 days in jail.
