Every owner of property in the Borough of Loganton shall, on five days' written notice from Borough Council, repair the sidewalk in front of or alongside of such property in the manner stipulated in such notice.
All sidewalks shall be constructed or reconstructed and repaired of concrete or amesite according to specifications determined from time to time by Borough Council, unless Borough Council allows, by special exceptions, an existing sidewalk of brick or flagstone that is at least 2/3 in good repair to be repaired with the same material.
On all streets the sidewalks shall be at least four feet wide, unless Borough Council permits a sidewalk of lesser width by special exception.
All sidewalks shall be reconstructed or repaired at existing line and grade. The line and grade of any new sidewalk shall be determined by the Sidewalk Committee of the Borough Council.
Upon the neglect of any owner of lots to comply with the requirements of this article, the Borough may cause the work to be done and may collect the cost thereof and 10% additional, together with all other charges and expenses, from such owner, by filing a municipal claim therefor or by action in assumpsit.
Any person who shall violate or fail to comply with any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction in a summary proceeding, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $1,000 and costs of prosecution and, in default of payment, to imprisonment for not more than 30 days.

In addition to the penalties as set forth in § 262-20 hereof, the Solicitor of the Borough may, upon direction of Borough Council, seek such equitable relief as may be available to enforce the provisions of this article.
