The purpose of this article is to create the position of Local Floodplain Administrator.

As used in this article, the following term shall have the meanings indicated:
The employee charged by the governing body with administering and enforcing local codes and regulations, including floodplain regulations and working with the Delaware Township Flood Hazard Mitigation Committee.
A.
There is hereby established the position of Local Floodplain Administrator for Delaware Township.
B.
The Local Floodplain Administrator shall be appointed by the governing body and may be a full- or part-time municipal employee.
C.
Wherever possible, the Local Floodplain Administrator shall be a ASFPM Certified Floodplain Manager.
D.
The Local Floodplain Administrator shall be responsible for administering and enforcing local codes and regulations, including floodplain regulations, and shall work with the Delaware Township Flood Hazard Mitigation Committee.
