The Board of Trustees of the Village of Green Island shall have the power and authority to create a Water Department and through it shall have cognizance, direction and control of the construction, maintenance, extension, repair and care of the municipal water supply system, and the Board shall have the supervision, care, management and control of said Water Department, the water supply and the waterworks of the Village. It shall be the duty of the Board, through its Water Department, to prescribe rules and regulations for the use of water facilities and to establish rates of rents to be called "water rents."

The Board of Trustees, through its Water Department, shall have the power and authority to order the immediate termination of water service and supply to any customer of the Green Island municipal water supply system as set forth in the current rules regarding delinquent water and sewer accounts.[1]

In the event that water service and supply to a delinquent customer is terminated hereunder, it shall not be restored to said customer except upon payment in full of the amount due, plus the sum of $25 for the expense of restoration of such service and supply.
