The area from the north side of the State Street overpass to a point 350 feet north of Galway Place is hereby designated as a school zone with the appropriate signage marking the beginning and end of the designated school zone. In accordance with the Uniform Manual of Traffic Control Devices, a school zone sign and "school zone ahead" sign shall be posted on the northbound side of Palisade Avenue on the north side of the State Street overpass and additional school zone signs shall be posted on the east and west sides of Palisade Avenue between Amsterdam Avenue and the State Street overpass and between West Tryon Avenue and Galway Place. School speed limit (25 mph) assembly signs shall be installed on the east and west sides of Palisade Avenue in the vicinity of 1475 Palisade Avenue. A school cross sign shall be posted at the marked crosswalk located on Palisade Avenue between Block 5109, Lot 1, and Block 5001, Lot 1.
